#801 - "Ancestral Home" by Bajè Whitethorne, Sr.

This verse appears on the inside left of the card.
The hogan is the traditional Navajo dwelling. It is made of earth, logs or stone. The door faces east to greet the rising sun, the same as the first hogan built by the Holy People. Surrounding the hogan are the fruit orchard, the cornfield and the sheep corral. In the foreground is the sweathouse. All these made whole the traditional Navajo way of life.

For ages and ages the plans have been made. For ages and ages the plans of the Sacred Mountains have been made.
